We are a small, non-profit agency that has
been in existence since 1981.
Our learners come from diverse backgrounds and
range in age from 16 to 80.
Our learners, with the help of Learn to Read,
can obtain a GED, pass
the oral and written driver’s test, obtain full-time
employment, and even become citizens of the USA. As a result,
many now can help their children with their school work: thus,
hopefully breaking the illiteracy cycle.
Most of our Literacy
students function at the lowest literacy level. There are no
other programs in the county that offer free one-on-one literacy
services to adults.
